“House for twins”. Being the same building, the treatment of spaces and privacy play an important role, in this case, a vital role. There are common spaces where their lives will be interconnected as well as other spaces, specific private spaces design for each one, where they will be able to live and satisfy their necessities.

The design of the project arose from the “visual” idea that the owners are twins. These two people not only have the exact same origin, but also are physically identical; something that has nothing to do with their character.

Given these basic premises, the project itself is an attempt to show and gather all these ideas, emerging from a central element and growing outwards. Although the spaces for each one are not equal the building structure is the same in order to show that every space takes part of the same supporting element, the same physical identity.

Having totally different point of views, the character of the spaces is also quite different. One of them is modern and loves living in the city; whereas the other one is more traditional, home-loving and enjoys seeing the beauty of the nature and the countryside.

Therefore, the building has wide, glazed and open spaces as well as demarcated areas with views over the landscape through specific frameworks.
